What is Anime?
Occasionally, it is best suited to watch anime videos. What is anime? Why, anime is Japanese animation, like Speed Racer, Kimba the White Lion (if you're old enough to remember those anime series), and lately Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh and most recently, Naruto, Bleach and Death Note. Anime is a break from the mainstream American cartoons, like Tom and Jerry, Spongebob Squarepants, or The Simpsons. Anime is a Japanese art form of telling stories in a series of of animated episodes (rather, like chapters), much in the way of a novel. The Japanese comic book is known as "manga", and it is usually through mangas that anime video series are created. The mangas and anime videos are often action-packed, suspenseful or even romantic. Think of anime as animated drama, soap operas, or thrillers (to say the least). Anime is very entertaining. Go on and give it a try. You can find many anime video series right on the web. Some of them are even on TV, or available on DVDs. You will be entertained, amused, captivated, and perhaps, even get hooked on a few anime series. |
